anybody know if running 85 in my tundra will hurt anything, sometimes pulling 4,500 # travel trailer.
Colorado and Utah have this octane as their regular unleaded. Something to do with elevation they can get by with this verse 87 in every other state.

I've had my 2010 5.7 for about 8 years now. UT resident. I have the FF engine. I use 85 when I am not planning on towing or doing anything heavy work-related. No problems so far. Honestly, I don't notice a huge difference between 85 and any of the other tiers. I do prefer Costco gas since it's cheap and top-tier. I don't run fuel additives but do run the occasional bottle of Restore since I'm over 115k miles. For me, MPG is hugely subjective based on two major factors.
1. How I am driving and where. If I'm in hills or into the pedal, I get 11-13mpg
2. Tires. I have a set of Bridgestone duelers now, and they've been much easier to get 15-16mpg highway vs the Cooper Discoverer STT set I had before.
