Hey guys,

Working on replacing my Timing Belt in my 4.7...I have everything back together and need to recharge my A/C. I put a can of r134a in the low pressure port, and began adding it in, but the compressor will not kick in.. And the can's pressure gauge shows it to be in the safe zone. How can this be if I've only added 1/3 of a can? Thanks

did you evacuate the system? IIRC The low pressure side of the system should read high without the compressor running

I've not done a TB yet but from what I understand depressurizing the AC system is NOT required

Yes, the system has been evacuated. I'm thinking that I may need to have a little more patience in adding the Freon as I'm reading that it can take a while for it to return to normal
