The light will blink and shut down if the R-134a charge is low or too high. Is it possible your system was overcharged with R134a as that will also shut the system down to prevent damage. R-134a is a critical charge refrigerant (much more so than the old R-12) so if the R-134a isn't metered/ weighed in with the proper equipment or knowledge trouble results. Usually the home mechanic doesn't purge the charging hoses and charging assembly of air which will boost the system pressure greatly. Of course the vendors that make/sell the refrigerant and hoses don't address that very well. Hope this provides some help for you.

This might be a problem because the engine might be getting hot. Check the pressure in the refrigerant system, if the pressure are fine there can be a problem in temperature sensor and if possible you need to replace it.
