I am about to purchase some new tires on my new (to me) 05 Sequoia SR5. I'm pretty sure it needs an alignment also, but wanted to ask a few questions first. The first thing I noticed is that the front passenger side tire is pretty bald on the outside of the tire. None of the other tires have this which makes me think the alignment is off. The car also vibrates some at around 65-70mph. Anyway, I've read about DJ's specs on here but was wondering do these specs still apply on an 05? Would an out-of-alignment cause just one tire to wear excessively on the outside of the tire? Thanks for all the help.

wearing on the outer edge of a tire would mean that the camber on that wheel is wrong. probably too much positive camber. and DJs specs apply to lifted tundras and sequoias i believe, so the camber numbers wont be correct for a stock sequoia. the vibration could be a number of things. bad tire(s), missing wheel weight/out of balance tires, cupped tires due to bad alignment,.......

Ok thanks. So I don't need any special settings since its stock to my knowledge. I did forget to mention it has 20" wheels. Would that affect the camber at all? Also I called a couple places and they said if the camber needed adjustment, I would need a kit of some sort. Is this true?

i dont think the rims would make a difference. and i dont think you need a kit. i dont need one for my tundra and our trucks are pretty much the same underneath. i would also take it slower in the corners and make sure the pressures are correct as well.

I just noticed that you have a CV boot clamp mod. What did you do ? I have two clamps that have become loose and I have not found a good alternative.
i used 2, 4 inch hose clamps, one on each CV boot. i havent slung any grease since. i have pics of it in my profile.
