From what I have been reading the '01- '02 have a 100amp alternator and '03- '07 have 130amp. Can a alternator from '03 go on the '01 sequoia fitment wise? I have a '01 limited 4wd and the alternator is not putting out enough amps causing my lights be be dim on the interior and exterior. The e brake light comes on sometimes and the trac control light comes on randomly. I can watch my voltmeter on dash and it drops down to 12v during idle. At 1500 rpm it goes up but should stay even during idle. Any info would be great.

Actually there are three different amps used in the 2001 models. I will list the part numbers underneath.

27060-0F020 2UZFE..UCK35, 45; 12V 100A
27060-0F040 2UZFE..UCK35, 45; 12V 130A
27060-0F050 2UZFE..UCK35, 45; 12V 150A

2007 models do not use the 100 amp model.

Pagemaster is right, but to answer your question
YES< the 03 Sequoia Alt will work in your 01 Seq , BUT your going to have to change MAIN FUSE LINK from 120amp to 140amp to help protect the system in the event the alt shorts or something bad happens to it. Your also going to have to re-wire the plug. The wires are in different pin connectors from 01year to 03year.

If this is the wrong forum then a MOD will move it accordingly
