My tundra goes in for some body work next Monday and I am having a 2010 platinum grill color matched to my truck. I am looking for a little extra protection from rock chips and high pressure car washes and was thinking a 3m clear bra on the grill would be ideal. I spoke with the body shop and hey said they recently painted a kids grill on his new super duty, which he in turn had 3m, clear bra'd and it gets ripped or peeled off every time he washes the vehicle.

I dont want to spend 130 on paint for this only to have it chip and or flake off instantly, so some form of protection would be ideal. Let me know of your experiences or thoughts on the subject. Thanks
