Hello all!

I am looking for a muffle that would add a mean deep sound but won’t be obnoxiously loud. Any recommendations? If so, could you post videos of your truck’s sound!

Side Note: I am running a 4.7L V8 Engine

Welcome to the site guys. There are shit loads of threads already on this site about this topic. Just use the search box you see at the top of any page and type in something like best muffler or best exhaust etc and just start reading. The more you read the better educated you will be about that you want to buy that works for you.

I can tell you what not to get, I replaced my entire exhaust system from the manifolds back, cats included on a 2000 Tundra. Purchased a Magnaflow stainless CAT back and it drones like hell and is rusting pretty good too, sounds great at idle but on the highway it is painful.

Ha ha. Sounds very similar to what I did. I guess thats why they call it Magnablow.
That being said would I be correct that you ditched the original resonator? If you did, I would be willing to bet if you put one in your drone would be 90% gone.

Careful what you call them buddy. For over a year doing Google searches for "blowmaster" you would find pics of my truck! It stopped when this forum lost all pictures for the 2nd time.

@astanton keep all your stock piping in place and replace the stock muffler with a Spintech 6000 Prostreet muffler. You will need to add a bit of pipe to make up the gap.

Hi, what do you know about the outfit in Toronto selling stainless cats on EBay? A1Exhaust I will be replacing entire exhaust and was not planning on eliminating the resonator, so maybe I will be ok...

Never heard of them. Doesnt mean they're bad, just dont know of them.
What I didnt see is what the material is made of. No matter where you buy make sure you get something that is stainless steel. It should say 409 or 304 grade stainless. Both are totally ok but 304 grade just shows little to zero rust for years so it would be used more for aesthetics for something like dual side exhaust where you can see a lot of piping. 409 will show surface rust almost right away but that doesnt mean its rotting out. Its what most OEM exhaust is made of so it will still last for years. Anything that says aluminized is crap. Never buy anything less than either of those 2 grades of stainless.
Up to you but if it were me I would probably buy from Dirty Deeds. Search out some threads on here about this company, nothing but good reviews and no drone.

Thanks for the input and recommendation, will have a look. Yea the one I was looking at was 304 SS. I noticed that one Walker exhaust was "aluminized"...

Thanks much for the guidance. A number of the threads advise "This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread."
Sometimes one would like to ask a followup question... Have a great day!

Personally I think starting a new thread is totally stupid. All the does is create a whole bunch of new threads on the same subject and most times they're dead end threads that dont answer questions. If you ask your question in an existing thread people who have already commented get notifications of an update and might be more likely to add something new. So if everything about a subject was all concentrated into a single thread you should have lots of answers as well as questions.
But any forum I have been on lately has that same comment at the bottom of every thread. Maybe the owners of these sites feel new threads generate more interest, I just dont think it helps to solve problems people might have.

Totally understand your point. Of course I would want to collect as much info on a subject as possible through prior interaction of multiple people, especially given that my tunny is about to turn 20 years old. However... A thread that is 10+ years old has less chance of someone replying. So, I am going to sit right in the middle on it, depending on whether I can find an answer and get a reply as needed.
