I was on Toyota.com configuring and noticed that both a DC 4x4 sr5 and a CM 4x2sr5 were about the same price. I have always had 4x4 I dont really use it much at all I live in New England so we can get some snow. My question is how do the 4x2 tundras with that LS diff perform in the snow has anyone had the chance yet?

For what it is worth when I had an 04 4runner with traction and skid control which my new Tundra has I had no problems at all driving in the snow with 2wd. I know the Tundra will have less weight on the rear wheels than the 4runner but I do not expect any problems with mine base on my 4runner experience. Snow was my only reason for possibly wanting 4wd and I have not regretted 2wd on the 4runner and hope to not regret it with the Tundra. Save yourself the gas mileage and extra maintenance cost if that is the only reason for considering 4wd. By the way I did get my Tundra stuck in the mud and got it out with the LS diff and that was even with highway tires on 20's.
