I understand the difference between Backspacing and Offset so I think I already know the answer to this question but I'm trying to confirm. Looking to get the most concave in a wheel I like but both options would seem to have the same concave depth from the front. Am I wrong?

Option 1: 17x8.5, Offset: -10 mm, Backspace: 4.375
Option 2: 17x8.5, Offset: 15 mm, Backspace: 5.375

Isn't higher backspace more concave from the back (opposite of what you want)?

Option 1 is what you want since offset is measured from the center line of the wheel. It will be an inch deeper from the outside edge compared to option 2.
