I'm finally getting around to adding another mod and working on exhaust. I want to put in my own muffler and I am wondering what is the best place to cut the stock exhaust. After the flange, following the cats, there is a straight pipe, then just before the muffler, it flares out. I bought 2.25" muffs. After I install, if I don't like it, I would like to be able to go back to stock if I want to(ie have it welded back in). So the question is what is the best spot to cut so that if it needs to be re-welded, it will be easy to do. Here is a pick of the stock exhaust on the left.
