looks fine to me
Mine's an 03, but thats the size and tire I run on mine. It's fairly wide. would personally like 305's, but those would never fit on a 03 unless you've got tons of lift. Would look very good on the new one.
You say it's looks too skinny, you do realize the aspect ratio will not make the tire wider, right?? The first number is the tire width. The second number is the aspect ratio of the tire, or percentage of width for the height, ie- 55% of 285mm.
Looking at your pics, a 305 would look very nice on that big ole truck. Can't imagine what they cost though, my 285/55/20's were $300+ each...
I have the 285/55/20 BFG's with no lift and have not had any rubbing issues at all. So, a lift is not needed for this size. You could go bigger, but how much bigger is the question.

5.7rcsb has 285/65/18 under his stock height Tundra, and then added a levelling kit. Here are the links to the thread.

just got a 2011 platinum crewmax, and i'm thinking about getting the bfg 285/55r20. after running them for awhile, do you still recommend them? they don't rub at all without a lift? i'm probably going to do at least a leveling kit, though. did you ever level yours?

thanks for any and all help,

-Ryan

No rubbing in that size on my rcsb.I think the rake on rcsb is even worst so you'll be okay with that size on your crewmax.
