2000 SR-5 extra cab, had the truck repainted in TJ. The trim was completely faded=cracked, and the shop repainted black. That lasted about a week.

Anyone have a suggestion for replacement trim in black? Is OEM the best option?

Thanks.

I installed those recommended trim pieces on my 2002 AC, which also had the peeled paint on both OEM pieces. These new ones fit perfectly and have a slightly different profile. Beside the appearance improvement, I like that the glass seal has been renewed.

I have an 06 Sequoia and looked everywhere for after-market replacements and zero luck. Did find an aftermarket supplier, but they stopped making a few years ago.

I price-checked eBay and a ton of toyota dealer sites and found the best price for mine at Genuine OEM Parts & Accessories At Wholesale Price | Cheapest Factory Parts - I think it was about 15% less or so.

Super-happy with the result - didn't fully appreciate how much better it looked until it was done. If you're searching for the part/part number, "belt weather strip" is the keyword/phrase you want to use. Good luck!

just FYI, there are two similar part No.'s for the "Window Belt Weatherstrip", I called a Toyota Parts Dept, and unfortunately the piece I need is the more expensive of the two choices, they were about $50/ea, in case anyone is searching for the same thing:
