Very nice!!! Good job.

Shouldn't a 4-year old be in a car seat?Do the DVD monitors tilt? If not, are they viewable form say a 4 year old height?
Yes, and he is, but still sits pretty low. In the pics it seems that the screen tip upwards.Shouldn't a 4-year old be in a car seat?
See you answered your own question but I was going to say Yes they should work fine.Question? Which one might think I would know the answer to with all my mods. LOL I have a pair of wireless headphones from mine that I do not use..Would any wireless headphones work with any monitors that have the IR function? I am thinking so, as he sells them without the headphones for $195 for a pair. What a deal if I can use my Directed wireless headphones that I already have with these!
**Edit** Looks like they will as I just go ahold of my stereo expert and he said should not be a problem.
Chinese is prolly the ONLY kind of IR signal there is!! All them dooda's seem to be made there now.i was gonna say i dunno...cause thats my throw down answer for most things.who knows if chinese IR signals are the same as all the others hahaha
the prewire wont be the same plug but its got its own plug for hardwiring power and reverse signal anyway so as long as the console hasnt been changed it should...but i dont have anyway of knowing for sure.i wonder if i can use the rear view camera thing on my 2010 model
you are welcome, thats what this place is for. did yours come with all sorts of extra connectors and wires and crap too? where did u mount your camera?Well, I finally put in that 100 buck monitor camera thing and it works a treat. Also, turns out that the other (red) plug coming out of the monitor supplies 12v. And as the video cable and this power lead are all integrated into one cable running down the truck, I was able to use the supplied adapter at the other end. So both the video and the power are able to be easily unplugged if need be.
Hardest part of the whole install was getting the damn video cable through the big grommet in the firewall. There is probably another (easier) route, but that seemed the most obvious.
Thanks again for the thread!!
Oh yeah! it came with a LOT of connectors and wires. I ended up mounting mine right where you mounted yours. Seemed like the best place. Any higher and the tailgate would hit it when it opened.you are welcome, thats what this place is for. did yours come with all sorts of extra connectors and wires and crap too? where did u mount your camera?
the only thing ive found now, is that its hard to judge distance with the hitch....which is why i wanted it...if its up in the stock location u get a birds eye type of view that shows distance better.....but i still like mine for now....if i come across one of the rostra ones that mounts in the handle cheap ill change but for now its fine. cant beat the price though.Oh yeah! it came with a LOT of connectors and wires. I did contemplate seeing if I could open the camera case and integrate it into one of those Tundra camera tailgate handles (a lot of them on sale without the actual camera) , but thought better of it in the end.
