Hello new to the thread.
I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice. I recently took my tundra to service for a engine light that came up. Said cylinder #5 mixture imbalance. The tech and rep came up with the battery cell was low so it was causing it to throw that code. Code was p21A0. The truck would run but it would shake real bad . So I pickup the truck and it's the same thing. Make a u turn and explain to them that its doing the same thing. The next day I get a call, hey theirs a vaccum leak on the supercharger bypass valve that cause the piston ring on #5 to fail. Wtf are they talking about, can that really cause engine failure? Sorry if it's long but I really do t think that's what happened and don't know where to turn for advice. One other thing the trucks has 53760 miles charge was installed at 15306 miles. I would really appreciate any help.or any experience with thisnissue

I have a 2016 tundra 5.7L V8 that is supercharged and throwing the same code. Took it in to get it check and cylinder 5 had low PSI due to bad plugs and a lot of carbon build up on my exhaust valve. I had the heads taken off and cleaned and had the valves replaced. I just drove it home and after 150 miles the P21A0 came back and has us stumped. Mine shakes when idling but it’s very minor. Did you have any luck resolving your issue?
