I have an 06 Extended cab with the towing package. I have a wd hitch with anti-sway and a Prodigy brake controller.
I will be towing a 3500lb 87 Chevy on a 14 hour trip.

I have two choices for a trailer, both Econo-trailers.

The 21 foot has a 15 bed length and weighs 1350lbs
The 24 foot has an 18 foot bed length and weighs 1500lbs.

I like the idea of the longer trailer to reduce the overhang off the back but I most want the overall safest setup.

Any feedback is welcome.

thanks

Assuming you have a V8, with either trailer you will be well under your limits. I would go with the longer trailer. It is not long enough that it should have to much more of an effect on sway, but it will probably be easier to tie down the Chevy with if you are going to be hanging over the edge of the shorter trailer.
