Hello All:
At what point is it acceptable or recommended to switch over to using synthetic oil in my 08, 5.7 Sequoia? My last car, (Isuzu Trooper), the dealer said give it 6-7 thousand miles to seat the rings and "break in all the moving parts" prior to changing to synthetic. I would like to use Mobil 1 when it is considered ok to do a changeover.
Thanks

I am pretty sure your 5.7L Sequoia comes with 0w-20 synthetic engine oil from the factory floor. But, to answer your question "When is it acceptable or recommended to switch over to using synthetic oil?" anytime you change the oil at any mileage

The dealer is probably quoting himself. Ask them for a reference next time.

Tundradrenalin is right. Anytime you want is the right time to change. But I like to dump the oil more frequently in the beginning and don't like to waste synthetic oil for 3-4k changes. I do it around 10K.

between 0 and 500,000 miles is the best time.
