New '07 Alloys for the '07 RCSB

The steel rim weighs 39 lbs. and 1.5 oz. with center cap.
The alloy rim weighs 32 lbs. and 6.0 oz. with center cap.

Un-sprung weight is reduced by approximately 7 lbs. at each wheel.
The new wheel & tire combo is 70 lbs. per hub.

Notwhithstanding the fact that it's best to minimize unsprung weight, Tundras are so stiffly sprung that 7 lbs at each wheel may not make a significant difference.
Have you noticed any improvement in handling or tractability over rough roads?

The springs and front shocks on this truck right now are toast, but I did feel the brakes required a lighter touch and the steering also felt lighter. I would like to try a super light wheel sometime, just to see if I experience the same initial sensation.

I eventually replaced the alloy wheels with 27 lb. Forged BBS PRO wheels, steering response, acceleration, and braking are improved. The center caps are off a Land Cruiser.
