Recently whenever i accelerate for a little bit and then let off the gas there is a loud clicking noise coming from underneath the truck. I cant figure out what it is. Any of you guys have an idea?

I too am having the same issue. It is driving me insane. I want it gone.
I have a 2006 Tundra DC SR5 XSP. It just started with in the last couple of days. I had the normal click of the brakes that seems to be pretty common with these trucks. But this is coming from the rear when i let off the gas. Its definitely a Click, not a clunk or clank. And it doesnt sound like that popcorn sound either. Had that on my Dodge Ram.

Anyone have ANY clue what this might be.

Anyone ever figure this clicking noise out? My 2006 tundra SR5 4.7 double cab is doing the same thing. Sounds like it is coming from the headers or cats. If you give any decent amount of acceleration, as soon as you let off the pedal that metallic click noise happens.

My 06 dc had a clicking noise. Finally tracked it down to the loose bolts on the transmission mount that eventually cracked the crossmember the transmission mount is bolted to. May be worth looking into.

Have you tried replacing your center support bearing also known as the carrier bearing on your drive shaft. My problem was my rear end it just busted the ring and pinion gear and I had to replace the rear end. But what cause my rear end to bust was the pin that holds the spider gears in place came loose and hit my pinion gear. Everything got worse from there.

On my 2005 tundra 4 door, it was the four vertical bolts on the transmission mount needed tightening!! The ones through the cross member in recessed holes.
