I have a 2012 Tundra with the 4.6l engine and I am considering installing a K&N cold air intake system on it. Has anyone experienced any issues installing a cold air intake system on the 4.6l. I also need to add that I had to install a Hewit bypass kit last year when the SAIS went out on it and it was not covered by any warranty. Will this have any affect on a cold air intake system? Thanks.

No, leave it be. The k&n uses oil which has been known to mess with the maf. Now I'm sure a lot of that has to do with user error on over applying the oil, but like @H2O_MAN said, it's a great setup already

Do a little research on the “SABM” stock airbox mod. Have heard of good results and very inexpensive.

Well other than it's K&N style filters being proven to allow micro sand/dirt/grit inside the engine that acts like sandpaper on internals so they greatly shorten engine life and the oil on them gets on sensors & throw codes? No not really!
