Hey guys, I’m new to this page but I need some help. I have an 05 tundra 4x4 with a 4.7 v8 that recently started giving me trouble on cold start up. After sitting for more than 2 hours, long enough to cool down, the truck will idle and run rough. Driving is a little tricky as well because if you accelerate too quickly the truck will cut out. It doesn’t die altogether just sort of acts like it has a governor. Once you let the rpms get down you can start going again. Only in drive though. If it’s in park you can rev it up until it redlines. The craziest thing about all of this is that after driving for about 10 or 15 minutes it will begin to run normally as if nothing was ever wrong with it. At this point it will run fine until it cools down again even if you shut the engine off. So far I have cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the mass air flow, and changed the coolant temp sensor. Non of which had any effect good or bad. This thing has me stumped.
