This is related to car stereo, but it also may be useful for general knowledge.

I had a certain door that was giving me slight rattle at high volume or high bass content music, so I set off on a mission to completely eliminate ANY noise. I did a lot of sound dampening on the inside door plastic panel with second skin as usual, but the real discovery was that the white plastic panel studs that mount the panel to the metal door seemed quite loose and "rattlely" in their black plastic panel "seats". I cut some 1" adhesive velcro "loop-side" squares, and stuck them over the hole slots where the white panel studs slide it. Then I slit the velcro with a razor knife, slid the studs back in, and viola, super tight studs, with absolutely no rattle. Not a rattle to be heard now....
