Hey guys,
So I just bought my first Tundra yesterday. It's a 03 with 160k I got for $6500 (trucks are expensive in CO). It's got a couple small problems but one of the bigger ones that I really don't like is that the Coolant temp gauge doesn't work, at all. It is all the way down by the C pretty much sitting right over the screw in the console. Any ideas? I replaced the ECT? sensor and that did nothing so my guess is that it's the gauge itself. Anyone know how to get in there? Know how to check it or had similar problems? Haven't been able to find anything on here.
Thanks for the help,
Shaun
Oh, also is there a light or something that comes on if the engine is overheating? I just feel a bit uneasy without my temp gauge. I also read somewhere that the temp gauge doesn't have anything to do with the engine because the engine reads it elsewhere is that true? Or will the engine run differently because it can't tell the temp?
Thanks again!!
