Have any of you guys noticed what appear to be small stress cracks in the piano black face of your HVAC controls? They are much more noticeable in bright light (such as the sun or while shining a flashlight on it). I hope I didn't cause them when I installed my aftermarket headunit because I was pretty careful while doing so. I hate stressing over stupid little stuff like this and even I could get the dealer to replace it, it might not be worth the trouble.

Thanks,

Wes

Update: When I went by the dealer to get the messed up finish on my wheels looked at, they told me they would take care of this issue as well. Surprisingly, no questions asked even though I have an aftermarket radio.

Mind was cracked after I have my truck for a year or so.
Went back to the dealer. They took a look at the crack for 2 sec and replaced it without asking any question.
It took them 20mins to replace it :tu: and 40mins for papeworks :td:.

:tu: Glad your dealer took care of you. FWIW, my truck is 3 yrs old and I've removed mine several times for the nav install and amp install (routing RCAs from headunit) and it's crack free :)

That's the thing: I don't think I caused the cracks because I was so careful about installing my headunit. I'm pretty sure the cracks were there when I purchased the truck because some of them were in areas that would have seen no stress from pulling the HVAC controls. Toyota's pretty smart for making the fascia a separate replaceable part; I was a bit worried that they would have had to replace the HVAC controls too which would have been big money.
