Got a tow package with trailer plug? If yes, check for corrosion on the wiring. It sounds odd but I am pretty sure I have seen threads on here where guys have intermittent problems and a short can be the cause.
Cruise Control - 2007 SR5 5.7 'Lucille' 165K
My cruise control works whenever it's in the mood. When the dash CC light comes on after I push the button on the end of the steering column lever, it works like a charm. I'm able to set and adjust the speed at will. But the next trip, no light and no CC. It will not engage. I was always taught when a fuse goes out, it's out. None of this periodic on then off crap. The only thing I can think of is a short in the steering column but hate to tear into it if it's not necessary. Any ideas???
