Remove the negative battery cable and let sit for a few minutes before putting it back on. Sometimes that resets stuff.

I believe that the only button under the steering wheel is to reset the tire pressure monitoring system. Check the manual, but as stated above unhook the negative battery terminal for like 20 minutes and that might do it. Good luck

something is broke. probally charging the battery wasnt the issue...unless u swapped the cables. sounds like maybe it had an electrical gremlin that caused the battery to drain....and all the other crap. u dont have rats building a nest someplace do ya? those little boogers cause all sorts of problems.
