I have a 2005 DC Tundra and I am going to change the Rear DIF gear oil. Is
Toyota's Synthetic GL-5 75W-140 what I need? I have a Limited Slip Dif.
Do I need any other additive? Dave

Toyota has two oils available for the rear end. One has the limited slip additive, the other does not. The one with the additive is clearly marked as such on the bottle. You will know if you were given the wrong oil (i.e. no additive). The truck will make strange growling noises and will barely be able to turn.
