A while back, I started to hear a periodic chirping noise in my 2003 Tundra. A couple weeks ago during an especially cold period it started to make noise daily so I knew it was time to replace the assembly. It's a pretty simple process but I made a DIY anyway so people can have complete details before working on their truck.

A related problem involves the fan speeds. If you suddenly only have off and high, then your blower resister probably failed, not the fan. It's a pretty simple fix too. I did a DIY for that a while back so I am posting that here also.

Hopefully, somebody will benefit from these.

Nice write up! I replaced my blower resistor last year and found the same issue with the resistor needing to be soldered. Unfortunately upon close inspection, there were fine cracks in the resistor that went through and through so I replaced it altogether.
