Do you find "folding" better than "retractable" for SHORT BEDS? Which ones?

It dawned on me that I need to stop looking at the nice retractables as they will take up about 15" of the precious small space I have already in my 5'6" Tundra bed.

So I turned to folding since we're installing a 5th wheel attachment in the bed. And I'm leaning towards the BAK F1, which will also give me the security I desire.

If anyone has comments about the smaller beds and particular folding tonneaus, I'd sure appreciate it. :ts:

If you want a hard folding cover, there's not a whole lot to choose from. Bakflip, Extang Solid Fold, FoldACover G4 Elite, and Advance Cover, and Diamondback come to mind.

I'm not a fan of Bak products. Do a forum search of "Bakflip" and you won't have any problems finding unhappy Bakflip/Tundra owners.
