That Entune thing just looks like yet another something to take the driver's attention away from the task of driving.

I'm with you on that, but for those like me that have a wife or friends that ride shotgun and like to look up destinations while I drive this app will work just fine. Otherwise, it gets annoying with the wifey moanin and groaning and then i have to pull over so we can find what she is looking for.:angrywife:

Its about time Toyota gets caught up with the competition on this. Ford has had something like this for a while now, Buick has an app where you can lock, unlock, start etc your car from your phone even Hyundai is coming out with their version. Seems Toyota is a bit behind the competition on this technology.

I read about this, and was wondering if you need the nav pkg in order to use this? They went to the touch screen for the demo, so I'm thinking you do.

About the only thing on there that I would enjoy in my truck is pandora... but my htc evo does that for me just fine.

yeah, my work smartphone isn't that smart... it's a storm ;) it barely can handle bluetooth and blackberry stuff.

I do like the way it integrates with the nav touch screens however. Now, if it did it via audio too! So, you don't need to divert attention from driving, just say what you want. I didn't see that in the demo, but it might be there.

Yes, you will need to have the Nav pkg.
pretty much this app will let you control different apps from your phone using the head unit instead of your phone and synk with the gps if is needed.:tu:

I can't wait till this app comes out to try it out. :p

I will be shocked of this a) works with older nav units ie 2012 plus only and b) works while in motion
