This may be a little off-topic, but has anybody else noticed the most awesome exhaust tone comes from the newer V8 Mustangs? They sound absolutely bad-***!! Why is it you can't get that tone by bolting on some Flowmasters? I'd go out and buy some Mustang mufflers tomorrow if I knew it would work.

When I heard the new mustangs I was very impressed too!! I went as far as going to a dealer and looking at the mufflers on a
2007 GT500 to get a part number. I noted a F1-7849-L. Ford put a lot of time in research and design to aquire the unique sound.
I believe you could get your hands on the mufflers, but then it would sound like a Ford. :)

Mustangs have sounded good for years. But, my zz430 66 Chevelle with Hooker Super Comp headers and 40 series Flowmasters sounds better than anything I've heard. I'm biased though!

The Mustang also has dual exhaust...and probably some sort of x-pipe. Totally different set-up..
