I just bought my first Tundra (used) and everything works great except for the rearview camera. The truck is a 2007 CrewMax Limited with the camera in the tailgate handle area and the viewing monitor(fixed) is in the overhead area and all OEM. The problem is when I put it in reverse nothing happens in the monitor. First thing I did was to check if the tailgate plug was plug-in and yes it was plugged in. I unplugged it and visibly checked to see if all the connectors were clean and confirmed clean, I then plugged it back in. The second thing I did was to check the monitor in the cab. I verified it was plugged in fine. I unplugged it from the back of the monitor unit and did some simple testing with a test light. The picture attached is the plug I'm referring to and the numbers I'm labeling is left to right. 1) empty -No Wire
2) black wire- ?? maybe ground?
3) blue wire - comes on when in reverse
4) grey wire - comes on with the headlights
5)empty - No Wire
6) red wire- comes on with key in the acc-on position
7) black - ??
8) white - ??
9) yellow - ??
10) purple - ?? I'm new to this forum so bear with me, I'm having problems posting the picture of the plug. So here's the questions I have, How do I continue with my troubleshooting in order to fix this and get it working. The other question I have is does anyone know what the other wires are I have labeled with (??) ? I'm assuming #7/8/9/10 are from the camera but don't know for sure and don't know how to test if that's working. And lastly and almost forgot, I thought the monitor was bad/defective so I bought a new OEM flip down design from EBAY and plugged that in and still nothing. Thank you in advance for anyones input.

Thanks for the input, How do i test that? Do I just unplug the plug under the rear bumper and test with a light or a volt meter?
What should I expect from the 4 wires?

thanks again
