Has anybody seen this option on an actual 07 Tundra? I have been looking at available or soon to be inventory and this is listed on a few. Thoughts and opinions anyone? Is this a SE Toyota option?

In the Mobile, AL area there is a ton with the flare option. I have to say at first I liked them, but now I am having trouble after seeing the color I want with them "Slate Metallic" I'll try to go past the dealer anf grab a pic tomorrow.
Yea...mine came from the factory w/ the fender flares and I had the dealer take them off. I just did not like them.

I've got a 07 Tundra Limited 4x4 Blue Streak Metallic Double Cab w/ the 20" BBS wheels. Love the wheels! They really make the truck!

They are installed at the port, not the factory, either as an option or included with the 20" BBS's

For those who haven't seen it, here's a pic from the SET web site:

Was visiting family in Florida and specifically went to look at them and the sport appearance package. I like the flairs, they seem to be of a comparable quality to those on my '05 DC. Only got to see them for a few minutes. I'll try to stop by for a further look and to take some pictures.

I would have gotten the flares if they were matte black like the ones one my '04 Taco...Also I don't like the extra curves that lead from the bumper on the top of the tundra flares...I like them simple and round.
Anybody have experience with these Bushwacker flares? Bushwacker - Fender Results

How do they compare in looks, fit, and quality to the OEM ones? Thanks.

Danny
the fender flares should be standard on the limited model in my opinion .. they would just finish off the look .. to me the limited looks a little too plain and i plan on ordering them when they become avail along with mudguards

I'm skipping theToyota flares and will wait on these to come available for my LimitedCrewmax 5.7 TD 4x4. They look nice:tu:
the flares installed in SET region _are_ bushwacker flares, its been covered a couple times. we need someone at a SET region dealer to get a price on the set of flares already color matched so we can get them in other regions. i want some on my truck but GST doesnt offer them and if you buy them from a bushwacker dealer i think they come black then you have to mess with paint and all that, and probably dont get as good a warranty.....

Personally I like the idea of black fender flares. Have a pyrite mica tundra DC limited and so much of the truck is already color-keyed that nothing would stand out if the flares were also pyrite mica. Plus it seems they would show dirt and be more susceptible to chips / scratches when painted. Isn't the whole purpose of flares to protect the painted body from such things? Not much point if the flares also get trashed and look bad...
I was just remebered what a friend in the Paint & Body business told me once, Silver is a hard color to match up. I may have to go with the factory fender flates to get a good color match.
the 05+ tacomas come with color matched fender flares very similar to these from the factory when you get trd packages, no problems with them chipping or peeling etc. but they did have an issues with the appearance on the paint in the first model year or so.
Has anybody installed the Bushwhacker fender flares in the field yet? I am with wileetundra in thinking leaving them stock black would look nice.

at painted flares look like crapolla

They do Look nice!! My 2004 Tacoma is Impulse Red metallic with matte black flares...and I love them...I think that painted flares llok like mchit ....too much of the paint matching (as wilee said) Also, they are tol protect the rest of the paint against mud, etc, so they get beaten up from debris...this is not good for paint, but is fine for black plastic. I think that I'll look into getting the bushwacker flares for my slate metallic.
did anyone ever get a toyota part # for these flares AS A KIT my dealer can get them but i will need to piece them together and it doesent come painted... if i cant get them from the dealer i will just buy the bushwacker flares ..if anypne has a link to where to buy them post it up :tu:
A couple of weeks ago, a lady HIT MY TRUCK while was parked in a parking lot with me in it. Luckily, she hit only the fender flare on the passanger side. I got them factory installed. The only problem now, THE PAINT AND BODY SHOP CAN"T GET ANY TO FIX IT. They look so good, everybody wants them!!!!!
try calling wonderies toyota in alhambra Ca they said they could get them for me seperately .. 626-289-7800
Thanks, I'll relay that to the p&b shop!!!:ts:
