Fixing AC on 1993 4-runner

Seems I got a bad A/C compressor leak which needs to be replaced. What other parts might need replacement since it will have the 134R freon? I'll most likely do it myself since my best quotes are around 1100.00. Any quick a dirty way to verify the leak location?

ps. Problem started as a slow leak last year. A charged lasted close to 6months but now its gone in a week.
