I put a K&N CAI on my 2000 Tundra and now I want to add a new Flowmaster Exhaust system: new muffler, new pipes, everything. Anyone else that has done this, are you happy with your exhaust? I've been told the new exhaust will give sound obviously and HP, but I am a bit suspicious on the HP part. Thanks for your help!

Flowmasters sound like no other. I have Flowmaster40's on my Chevelle and they sound brutal. But, from everything I've read, the hp gains come from the straight-through type mufflers (Magnaflow, Borla.etc). I have Magnaflow on the Tundra and couldn't be happier.

I've got Flowmaster on my 03, and the sound is good, I can't really tell you the power increase, since I had the exhaust custom done the day after I bought the truck brand new. It's been a while, and when something in the system rusts out, I will be going with straight-through type mufflers (or no mufflers).
