Cost would depend on how much work you did and how well you negotiated with the j/y.

Have you thought about one of those push button shifters? You could mount anywhere

The shifters I was talking about are universal type. You find them at places that sell parts for hot rods. Probably summit has them or jc whitneys.
Have you advertised locally for someone who may want the console and would swap parts with you?

Dealers have never been left to configure the seat option. Not all options are in the VIN.

If you are buying just a console and selling the front buckets and center piece, what will you sit on? Buckets?

Welcome to the forum. If you get the seat, it is a console. It has 2 cupholders, compartments and nooks. Makes a nice armrest.
Plus you have 2 more cupholders in the dash.
