Hello all. my name is Erik. New owner of 03 sequoia rwd. any ideas on where the problem is or how to fix it

The two lights next to the garage door opener? They're not supposed to come on when the door is opened. They're map lights.

If the one above the headrests doesn't come on, the bulb is probably burned out.

Not sure if this will help or not, but my Tundra has a switch on the light that you slide to either turn it on, have it on with the door open, or turn it off with the door open.

As JBH1989 said, they are map lights and don't come on when the doors are opened.
A year or 2 back there were threads on the sequoia site where members did some rewiring from the center dome light to the map lights that activated them all when the door was open.
Try doing a search for the other postings.
