I recently purchased a 2001 Sequoia limited edition I was told that everything was fine with it up until the point I went to go start it I put a fresh battery in it and I still couldn't get it to turn over I made sure that it had plenty of fuel and try it again then I was informed that the female who own the car part of me put acetone in the gas tank and drove home from where I don't know how many miles is not sure I was informed that the next morning this equator would not start and it's been that way for 2 years can anyone tell me what they think acetone might do inside the tank or through the fuel system and what might I try to fix it

Acetone is pretty expensive so it probably wasn't much if any actually was used. Sitting for 2 years could be the issue with acetone rinsed parts not being wet.
I would pour 5 gallons of new gas in it and go through a start-up procedure. spark, fuel and compression (if all else fails) I would suspect fuel flow. Don't panic, its a Toyota. Chap
