Help! Overtightened rear brakes!

Please help for my problem on 2002 Tundra. I adjusted the rear brakes too tight with the brake spoon. Self-adjuster will not allow me to loosen up so I can get brake drum off. Brakes are locked up.

Can I fix it myself, or do I have to call a mechanic to come out or have it carried to someone?

Thanks.

No...here's what you do. Take a small screwdriver and push it through the adjust hole. What you need to do is push the adjusting level towards the face of the drum. You'll feel the screwdriver pushing on something and you should feel it move. Then use your spoon to turn the adjusting wheel in the opposite direction that you did to tighten it.
