I was thinking the same thing.
I did have my engine light come on a few times with that code.
But after running some cleaner thru, the light has stayed off.
I would have thought that if it was getting bad again, the light would come back on.
But, I'm going to start using the cleaner again and see if I can prolong the $$$ bill.

new pcv valve may fix your problem. it doesn't have to toyota brand. it is cheap and easy.

Sounds like an easy inexpensive part to replace. :ts:

My wife's celica was really hesitating and feeling like it was going to stall at takeoff. It ended up needing the throttle body cleaned and now it runs great.

 

PCV valve located on the top of valve cover. When you go get PCV valve from auto part they can show you exact location.

If that isn't it, looks like I'll be moving back to the fuel filter, maybe the tank is bad, lets hope not. Or it could be that darn Cat. system.

 

Hpw many miles are on your Taco? Sounds like you may have a partially clogged fuel injector, if you never had it done maybe it's time for a fuel injector service. I'm not talking about pouring in a can of fuel injector juice but taking it to a shop where they disconnect the fuel line and then run fuel injector cleaner through the fuel system. If you have over 100K miles have you changed the sparkplug wires? I suggest putting your Taco on a engine scope and then you can find out what is wrong.
