The high idle on my truck seems low to me. When I first start it will idle at around 1200rpm for about 10 seconds, then it drops a to about 850rpm

This really sucks on cold mornings like this morning.

Is that they way these 4.7s are, or is something not right with mine?

MAF, Throttle Body, IAC. I did all three recently and it improved idle and fixed a problem I was having when trying to restart the truck shortly after shutting it off.

The Throttle Body and IAC were removed and cleaned on the bench with a toothbrush and lots of throttle body cleaner. Bought gaskets for both ahead of time and knocked it out in an hours time. Maybe a more thorough cleaning is needed?

Idk. I just hope I didn't screw something up on the throttle body by manually pushing the butterfly open. The throttle body is weird on these, the cable itself doesn't open the butterfly.

I'm hoping maybe there is just a small piece of debris in the way of the throttle body keeping it from shutting all the way.

I wasn't sure if there was some sort of idle relearn process I could try first?
