I've got a 2007 4Runner V8 4X4. The only port installed option is the rear spoiler. After hearing a plastic type rattle sound when opening the rear gate I noticed the high mounted brake light on the gate itself was loose and actually falling out. The spoiler itself was keeping the light assembly from falling completely out. I've checked my manual and it shows a couple screws to turn to secure the light assembly in place but mine does not have these screws, or screw holes. I was able to push the light asssembly back into it's hole but I'm not sure if it will stay. It seems secure for now. The brakelight in the spoiler itself works fine. I was wondering if anyone knows how to secure the non working high mounted brakelight assembly in a way that it will stay put. I want to avoid taking it back to the dealer if I can.

The brakelight assembly that fell out is actually mounted above the liftgate, not on the gate itself. Thanks for any advice!
