I know the rated payload is something stupid like 400lbs. I’ve put about 1000 in there with helper springs. Probably 800 without. Of course I put the load as close to the cab as possible.
Felt like I had room to spare both times. So I’m wondering how much other people have gotten in there.

I hauled 2000 lbs. of bottled water in the bed of my 2002 while towing another 2000 lbs. of H2O in a trailer a few times, 75 miles one way.

I drove 20k on a long trip from Southern California to Deadhorse Alaska at the GVW of the truck and a few times was few 100 lbs over because I thought I could push the Gross Axle weight to both max and I didn't realize that you still need to keep it under the GVW Max. I had an additional 13 gallons of gas and lots of food that I stopped caring around and got it around the GVW for most of the trip. I have had my 700lb FourWheel Camper on the back for the past 15 years
