Hello everyone, this is my first post on this website. I have a 2015 Tundra TRD PRO. The other day while driving on the freeway, my right rear exhaust pipe came off and hit the speed sensor wire on the top of the rear axle causing it to be cut in half. I have to remove and replace it.
The problem is I cannot figure out how to remove the wire from the wheel hub, and I can't find where it goes after passing by the differential on the rear axle. So can someone please tell me what kind of latch the wire has on the wheel hub, and where and how to unplug it after it goes across the axle. Thanks!

Sensor is held in the hub with a 10m bolt. Remove the bolt.
Then remove the gray plastic shroud that sits over the plastic speed sensor using a small flat head or a pick tool.
Once removed you'll see a tab for the speed sensor plug. Pull on the tab (maybe push?) and disconnect the sensor from the harness.
Removing the physical sensor is a pain. Sensor has a rubber 0 ring on is that is compressed in the hub and pulling it straight out compresses the rubber. You're going to have to wiggle and rotate the sensor to walk it out of the hub. Suggest a small rag and a pair of 90 degree needle nose pliers to grab the sensor at the angled part of the sensor body. Rotate the sensor and walk it out.

I can't tell you where the harness goes but if you google the harness you should see whether it goes past the rear axle along the body next to the fuel tank or whether there's a connector to disconnect it from a main wiring run. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Oh and be careful with the plastic. The sensors can snap off in the hub boss and it's a doozy getting them out without introducing debris onto your tone ring.
