how to remove and replace wheel speed sensor wire

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this website. I have a 2015 Tundra TRD PRO. The other day while driving on the freeway, my right rear exhaust pipe came off and hit the speed sensor wire on the top of the rear axle causing it to be cut in half. I have to remove and replace it.
The problem is I cannot figure out how to remove the wire from the wheel hub, and I can't find where it goes after passing by the differential on the rear axle. So can someone please tell me what kind of latch the wire has on the wheel hub, and where and how to unplug it after it goes across the axle. Thanks!
