What were you expecting from a 5.7 V8? Just a ridiculous comment.Man the gas is killing me I let it get pretty emty but I did'nt even do to much driveing for 75$. Is any one else pist off over there gas??????![]()

I am in the same boat as you. Except I came from a 1990 v6 Toyota P/U - 17mpg, and when I ride on the road it's on a 1980 Yamaha XS850SG - 40mpg.My 07 Tundra gets about the same mileage as my 03 Tundra so i'm use to it. When the gas prices get really high i just ride my Harley more - 40 MPG.
I don't think the issue is the mileage per gallon, but the reality of gas rising about a nickel everyday. What were you expecting from a 5.7 V8? Just a ridiculous comment.
I have been considering trading my new 4X4 Tundra in for a moped. Not quite the power or safety but might be a pleasure hitting the gas station when gas is up to $5.50 a gallon. Not to be a dark cloud, but it is going to get worse before it gets better. Factor in the Summer demand, a possible hurricane in the Gulf or an incident in the Middle East or other and it might get real scary. Glad that I only live 1.3 miles to work and my other vehicle is a Corolla...Ouch!
