I have a 2006 Tundra double cab 4.7L with 108k miles. No problems other than time for routine maintenance. Timing belt, water pump, idlers, tensioners etc. A local shop with a great reputation is telling me they have installed lots of Import Direct brand timing and pump kits in the 4.7 engines with no problems and they will stand behind their work if I have it done there.

Those kits are sold by Oriellys Auto Parts.

I walked in the door asking to have OEM Toyota parts installed even though the cost may be higher and they are telling me the Import Direct brand kits work great and I should go with that

Anyone have experience with that brand or words of wisdom?

Well, if they're confident in the quality and willing to guarantee it then it may be a cost effective alternative.
