I purchased 5 VLeds T5's to install in my 2004 Sequoia instrument panel. I tested a couple sockets and the bulbs would not light up. I tried reversing them in the socket and still no light. Did I purchase the correct bulbs? Anyone have a similar issue or advice installing leds?

Someone else might be able to comment and confirm. I researched this subject extensively and could never got confirmation on which size LEDs fit in what place. So, I bought new instrument panel lights from a toyota dealer. Wasn't that expensive and I am not a fan of extremely bright gauge lights anyways.

I've replaced mine with a LED kit from ebay, don't recommend it. No one seems to know what size the bulbs are, they're between a few sizes from what I've found.

When I did mine I had to take the metal connector and bow it out a bit to make sure it contacted the metal on the socket well. Best solution overall is go to toyota for OEM bulbs, they aren't stupid expensive.

I already learned my lesson on tinkering with the dash gauge lights... never again.

I've tried the green LED lights for my dash and find them too bright. I'll be going back to the stock bulbs soon.
