So I just installed a new Kenwood DNX 6140 in my wife's 2003 Tundra. Bought the radio from Crutchfield and used their wiring harness. After the install everything works fine, but the dash lights don't turn on (Speedo and HVAC controls). Cheked the fuses and they were all okay.
When I installed the radio, I removed the factory amp that was located under the stock stereo. There were two connectors into the back of the stock radio, one went to the amp, the other one is not used anymore. It contained 3 wires, red, blue, green/black stripe. The amp had two connectors into it and that is what the wiring harness plugs into.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

Thanks in advance!

Did you check ALL of the fuses? even those that look like they'd have nothing to do with the dash lights or the stereo?

make sure you didn't wire up the dimmer/illumination wire ? it'll cause the fuse to pop
