Hey guys, I was just curious as to if there was a way to raise the rear seat slightly in a 2010 doublecab. I've tried searching but the way TS has it set up right now, im better off using google or creating a new thread. Google turned up nothing. I appreciate your input.

I have no idea but why would you want to raise the seat? I'm guessing so you could get a bigger sub box under it maybe....

You're a freakin genius. I bought a sub box from tech12volts. The subs(boston g1's) rub on the 2010 tundra's. All I need is 1/4 to 1/2 an inch to clear the seat. Just curious if anybody had found a way to do so....

looks like it would be really hard to impossible to me. it seems like a weird idea at first till u explain the box size. so i get why. but i just looked at mine and its gonna be hard. the seatback and coushion all interrelate and are all fastned and hooked together and move together....it would be alot of moving stuff up on the back wall where they latch as well as the bottom part etc. i am not saying it cant be done its just going to be alot of work and thought and design to get it to move up..then the back of the seat will be too high for the window and all that....just my observatiosn though...its not my truck and i doubt i'd try this but if u just need 1/4 or so in a certain spot, just get a bigger hammer and "tweak" it hahaha. might be the only option..maybe u can get the floor to move a little bit? i dunno...sounds like a jam so far...

Carefully cut out the carpet where you plan on putting the sub --- keep the carpet and glue it back in when you get rid of the truck. You should be able to get at least 1/4" from the carpet.
good suggestion. there shoudl be sound insulation pad under there as well that could give a little. then if that still dont work..just hamemr the sh!t out of it hahaha jk.

I bought the Audio Enhancers 12 Dual Down Firing Empty Enclosure (Charcoal 07-08 Toyota Tundra Crew Cab TOYT180C12) for $93 and stuffed it with (2) 12" Pioneer Premier TS-SW1201S4 subwoofers at $99 each. This combination sounds terrific. The seat did not need to be raised but after some experiments I realized it sounded even better with some more clearance under the subs at the floor giving the subs some breathing and flex room. So I bought some 1.5" rubber spacers and screwed them to attach to the bottom of the box. This raised the seat height at the front and all for the better ergonomically for the passengers since they have more height now from knee to foot. To ensure the seat bottom and the top of the box did not rub I added some furniture glides at the locations where the surfaces contact.

Seems like you could shim under the mounts with some washers.... You would have to elongate the hole in the back mounting bracket.... but heck...it's just a 1/4 inch....
You might even get that DC seatback mod(for accessing your amps) for free...

This is exactly what I did when I needed an extra 1/2" to install my dual 12 box in my DC.:thumb:

Ignore the wires, I wasn't done yet.
