I just bought a 2013 Tundra Platinum. It's white, has a small lift (i'm not sure how much but its higher than other tundras on the road), 126000kms, and I love it so far.

It seems the previous owner took it through some thick mud and never fully cleaned the running boards and the mud is caked on pretty good. The power washer at the car wash wasn't strong enough to clean it off. I'm just wondering what kind of products you guys would suggest to clean off the mud without damaging the stainless steel, and what you suggest for waxing and protecting the running boards and the rest of the body going forward.

Also, what are some common maintenance and repairs that I should be aware of on the 2013 Tundras so I can stay on top of things.

Thanks in advance!!!

Where do you live? If your in the rust belt get it rust proofed pronto. As for the mud maybe a good pre soak with a degreaser then spray off. Do you have your own pressure washer? If you do hook it up to indoor tap and use hot water.
